Honoring Lives, Fostering Hope

In a heartwarming celebration of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, the LAKAN Network, together with our dedicated partner CBOs in Central Luzon and the Central Luzon Center for Health and Development, EpiC, PROTECTS Upscale, LoveYourself, and SHIP, proudly hosted a transformative 2-day PLHIV Summit. Held on May 17-18, 2024, at Hotel Seoul in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, this inspiring event united People Living with HIV (PLHIV) from across Region III to connect, learn, and share their journeys.

 

The summit was filled with engaging activities designed to strengthen community bonds and empower participants. Workshops, group discussions, and interactive sessions provided valuable knowledge and resources, creating an uplifting environment where attendees could openly share their stories and support one another. These activities highlighted the power of community and solidarity in building a brighter future for those affected by HIV.

As we gathered to honor the memory of those who have passed away, we also celebrated the strength and resilience of the PLHIV community. Lighting candles and sharing moments of reflection, we paid tribute to lives lost while renewing our commitment to support and uplift each other. This summit was a beacon of hope, showcasing the enduring spirit and unity of our community as we continue to fight HIV/AIDS together.
